Account Creation Active directory

Prerequisite

A server 2000/2003 (Domain controler ).
Active directory implemented.
Having administrator's rights.

Introduction

Suppose the creation of a user account for " First Name Last Name (f_name). "
Each user has a space. "Home"
When creating a user account, you need to create a folder in the users 's directory .
This procedure has to be done from the domain controler.

Create a folder

 

• Open My Computer
• Click on the disk where you want to store the user's directory (home)..
• Open home user's directory.
  

• Make a mouse right click.

• in the context menu, select new then directory.

• Give the file the new user's .

name-for example by respecting the following model: j_smith to John Smith.

• Confirm click Enter.

 

Once the file is created, you must define its sharing properties .

Define sharing's properties

 

• Directory Users, mouse Right click , select the new folder .
  Context menu appears.

• Select Properties.
  Next window appears :

 

 

• Select the tab Sharing
  Set the Network sharing properties
  Next window appears :

 

 

• Enable Share this folder .
  The zone is ungreyed and the "new folder" name appears sharing's Name,as shown below.

 

 

• Click on the button .
  Next window appears :

 

 

• Click on the button to eliminate the value Everyone

• Click on the button .
  Next window appears :

 

 

• Select value Administrator in the list.

• Click on the button to confirm this choice.

• Click on the button .
  Next window appears :

 

 

• in the zone Authorizations, activez l'option Contrôle total de la colonne Autoriser.
  Toutes les autres cases se cochent automatiquement.

• Click on the button .

L'administrateur possède ainsi tous les droits d'intervention dans le dossier de l'agent..

• Click on the button .
  La fenêtre Autorisations se ferme.

 

Une fois les propriétés de partages définies, vous pouvez Defining the security's properties du compte utilisateur.

Defining the security's properties

 

• Dans le répertoire Users, à l'aide du clic droit de la souris, sélectionnez le dossier que vous venez de créer.
  Un menu contextuel apparaît.

• Select Propriétés.
  La fenêtre de propriétés du nouveau dossier apparaît.

• Select the tab Sécurité.
  Next window appears :

 

 

• Désactivez l'option Permettre aux autorisations pouvant être héritées du parent d'être propagées à cet objet.
  Le message suivant apparaît :

 

 

• Click on the button .

• Click on the button .
  La fenêtre Sélectionnez Utilisateurs, Ordinateurs ou Groupes apparaît.

 

 

• Sélectionnez la valeur Administrateurs dans la liste proposée, then Click on the button .
  La valeur Administrateur vient s'inscrire dans la zone du bas de l'écran.

• Click on the button pour valider votre choix.
  La fenêtre Sélectionnez Utilisateurs, Ordinateurs ou Groupes se ferme.

• Dans la zone Autorisations, activez l'option Contrôle total de la colonne Autoriser.
  Toutes les autres options se cochent automatiquement.

• Click on the button .

L'administrateur possède ainsi tous les droits d'intervention en matière de sécurité, dans le dossier de l'agent..

• Click on the button .
  La fenêtre Autorisations se ferme.

 

Une fois les propriétés de partage et de sécurité du dossier définies, vous pouvez configurer le compte utilisateur.
