Introduction
This procedure is to add a computer to the Domain.
The procedure is made from the client computer and may change by Windows version.
PrerequisiteA server 2000/2003 (Domain controler ).
Active directory implemented.
Having administrator's rights.
Windows "9X"
(Windows 95, 98, mille;nium).
Windows "NT" (Windows
2000, XP).
Click on the button
in the taskbar.
in the drop-down menu, click on Settings then Control Panel.

Double-click on the icon

Select the tab Identification of the window Network .

In the field Computer name , type a computer name.
Choose a name why not a planet making sure it's not already assigned .
Enter Workroup name Workgroup In the field Working Group .
In the field Description of the computer , enter the name of the user.
Select the tab Configuration .
In the area The following network components are installed , double-click on the icon

Check the box Log on to a Windows NT domain and fill in the fields Domain Windows NT by entering the domain name.

In the window Network , click on

Check the two proposed options

The window closes.
In the window Network , click on

A new window appears you to insert the installation disk for your version.

Insert your Windows CD-ROM and then click on

In some cases, conflicting version may appear when several Windows versions are installed on your computer.
When this happens, the window Conflict version appears: Check the box No then click OK.
You can now verify that the position you are installing is well networked said:
Restart your computer.
The next window should appear.

Check that the field Area is automatically set With the name of your area.
Fill in the fields Username Forgot Password .

You are now connected to the network.
To declare a post Windows NT, you should select a working group and then a field. The working group is a set of computers connected together (without area).

With the right click of the mouse, select the icon Favorites

Select Properties .
Window Network Connection and Remote Access appears.

Turn on the radio button Workgrpoup and enter workgroup nameWorkGroup.

A window opens and prompts you to restart your computer.

Your position is now integrated in the working group DomainName, and gives you a chance to directly exchange data with other members of the state ; team.
The final step is to select a field, ie the network to which you want to connect your post. In this case, it is the field DomainName.
